Privacy Policy

SmileShift is designed to help you document your teeth progress while keeping your photos private and under your control.

Information stored by the app

SmileShift stores the photos, dates, and optional notes you add locally on your iPhone. The app does not require an account and does not send your teeth photos or progress videos to SmileShift servers.

Sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple is optional. If you use it, Apple provides SmileShift with a unique account identifier and may provide your name and email address, depending on the choices you make with Apple. SmileShift stores the identifier securely in your device's Keychain and may use the name to prefill your profile. The current version does not upload your progress photos or provide cloud photo syncing.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple processes SmileShift subscription payments. SmileShift does not receive or store your payment-card details. The app receives purchase information needed to provide access, such as the purchased product, subscription status, transaction dates, and Apple transaction identifiers. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings.

Camera and photo library access

SmileShift requests camera access when you choose to capture a new progress photo. It uses Apple's photo picker when you choose an existing image. Selected images are used only for the features you request.

Progress videos and sharing

Video creation takes place on your device. SmileShift shares or saves a completed video only when you choose an option from Apple's share sheet. The destination you select may have its own privacy practices.

Notifications

If you enable a daily reminder, SmileShift schedules it locally through Apple's notification system. You can change or disable reminders at any time in the app or in iPhone Settings.

Analytics and advertising

The current version of SmileShift does not include third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.

Website information

This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics. Like most hosted websites, its hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.

Children's privacy

SmileShift is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Parents or guardians should supervise a minor's use of the app where appropriate.

Data deletion

You control the content stored in SmileShift and can delete individual timeline entries inside the app. Deleting the app may also remove its locally stored content. Items you independently saved or shared must be deleted from their destination separately.

Changes to this policy

If SmileShift's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the new practices are introduced.
